2IC - 8km from Lincoln
Description
We are seeking a motivated and capable 2IC to join Beaumaris Dairies, located just 8km from Lincoln township. This role provides a great opportunity for career progression and skill development within a modern dairy environment. You’ll be engaged in hands-on farm operations, working closely with the manager and team to ensure smooth running of the 650-cow, 50-bale rotary dairy operation. Accommodation options are available, and on-farm as well as external training are offered to support your growth in the industry. Requirements: - At least two years of full-time dairy farming experience - Completed Primary ITO Level 3 qualification (Level 4 or tertiary education preferred) - Current full driver's licence - Eligibility to work in New Zealand - Available for an in-person interview Responsibilities: - Support daily farm operations including pasture walks, feed allocation, and planning - Weekly reporting of farm performance data - Staff supervision and management - Monitor and maintain animal health and welfare - Take responsibility for overall farm operations in the manager’s absence - Assist with rostered shifts and adapt to seasonal roster changes Please contact us to discuss this opportunity further.
