Description

Mt Somers Station is seeking a capable and motivated Second-in-Charge (2IC) to join our dairy team in the Mid Canterbury foothills. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their dairy career, with our current 2IC progressing into a management role after two successful seasons. The Farm 330ha dryland dairy platform milking approximately 950 cows Part of a larger, diversified farming operation including sheep, beef and honey Modern 60-bale rotary shed with Milfos plant, auto-wash, ACRs and Protrack Utilising progressive technology including Halter, Herdi, and JFC automated calf feeding systems 7-2-7-2-7-3 roster The Role The 2IC will work closely with the Farm Manager to assist in the day-to-day management of the dairy unit and take responsibility in their absence.
