Calf Rearer - Drive-In position

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Calf Rearer to join our team on our 400-cow family dairy farm near Darfield, Canterbury for the upcoming calving season. This is a sole-charge, drive-in position responsible for the day-to-day care and management of approximately: • 100 replacement heifer calves • 45 Jersey bull calves The role will run from approximately late July through until late September / early October, working 5-6 days per week, with support from a relief calf rearer 1-2 days a week. We are seeking someone who: • Has previous calf rearing experience • Has excellent attention to detail • Can work independently and efficiently • Is organised and proactive • Understands the importance of quality and timely colostrum management Animal welfare and high standards of calf care are very important to us, so we are looking for someone who takes pride in raising healthy, thriving calves. This role would suit someone experienced who enjoys working independently while still being part of a supportive farm team.
