Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic calf rearer to manage the rearing of approximately 150 Jersey and KiwiCross calves from birth through to weaning. This role involves full responsibility for the calf rearing programme using modern facilities and feeding systems, ensuring calf health and welfare throughout their development. Key Responsibilities: - Feeding calves, preparing milk, and managing ad-lib feeding systems - Monitoring calf health and administering necessary treatments - Cleaning pens and equipment to maintain hygienic conditions - Maintaining accurate records of calf growth and health - Ensuring all calves are happy, healthy, and well cared for - Working a 6 on/1 off roster, approximately 30–40 hours per week About You: - Genuine passion for animal welfare, particularly calf care - Reliable, honest, hardworking with strong attention to detail - Previous calf rearing experience preferred, training available - Full driver’s license and age 18 or older - Ability to work independently within a supportive team environment
