




Job Summary: We are seeking casual field contractors to support a pilot soil sampling project across Canterbury from April to May, with potential ongoing work over winter. This role involves collecting soil samples on various farm types, following established procedures, and maintaining data accuracy while working independently in rural environments. The position requires physical capability, a strong rural background, and a commitment to health and safety. Key Responsibilities: - Collect soil samples across different farm enterprises following clear systems and procedures - Accurately record data and maintain high-quality standards - Work independently on rural sites while representing the project professionally to farm teams - Follow health, safety, and wellbeing practices with a strong duty of care for people, farms, and the environment - Engage respectfully with farmers and rural communities, reflecting pride in their businesses - Drive to multiple locations using a full driver’s licence About You: - Strong rural background with confidence engaging farm teams and understanding farming pride - Ability to follow clear processes and work independently in a field-based role - Physically fit for outdoor and rural work environments - Full driver’s licence and a reliable, safety-conscious approach - Detail-oriented, responsible, and respectful in representing the business on farms
