Pentwyn Farms is located in the hills close to the Desert Road near Waiouru, a small town in the Ruapehu District in the Manawatu-Whanganui region. This 1,200ha family-owned sheep and beef operation has been under the current ownership for more than 40 years and has good infrastructure and systems that have been developed to enhance the property. Currently

running breeding ewes, finishing lambs, bulls, steers and heifers, and there is

also 141ha of both forage and cash crops.

The Owner’s also run a contracting business, with 9 John Deere tractors ranging from 70 – 400 hp. They support surrounding farms with full cultivation, direct drilling, hay and baleage, where the contour ranges from flat to very steep. The contracting business is not a stereotypical tractor

driving outfit; its reputation has been built on great communication, quality of work and reliability, which sets the expectation of all team members.

Pentwyn Farms has a well-established and loyal team who, on average, have all been with the farm for 8 plus years.

Position Overview: We are looking for a person to support the Agricultural Operators, by provide fuel, oil and part to the site, moving tractors and equipment between properties. Cleaning equipment and assisting with general workshop, tractor and farm jobs through the busy season. w

With the contour of country, you will need to be competent with working on both flat to steeper hill country.

Pentwyn Farms are willing to invest in your career development and for the right person, there is a potential pathway into a more senior position. You will work both alongside the Owner and autonomously at times.

This role is fixed term from October to March with some flexibility in start and finish times.
