We’re an experienced contract milking team taking on a brand-new 1500 cow conversion in Tarras, and we’re looking for a Dairy Assistant to join our high-performing team. This is a modern, large-scale farm with tight systems and a strong team culture — the right people make all the difference. The farm Brand new 80 bail Waikato rotary (centralised) In-shed feeding + Protrack automation 8 centre pivots + full fixed grid irrigation Reliable water supply Cow wearables for mating New calf rearing facilities Wintering on farm (fodder beet + whole crop) The role You’ll be hands-on across all aspects of the farm: Milking and shed duties Animal care and general farm tasks Assisting with calf rearing Supporting the team to keep systems running smoothly This is a great opportunity to work on a modern, high-quality farm with a supportive team, and to develop your skills further with proper training.
