Cowland Ltd is recruiting for a "Senior Dairy Farm Assistant" to support its progressive 750-cow dairy farm near Ashburton This role focuses on day-to-day farm operations, herd performance, animal health, and supporting efficient dairy systems within a modern, family-owned farming environment. The position would suit a drive-in applicant however, on-farm accommodation is available for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Support daily dairy farm operations, including milking, animal health, and general farm duties. Assist with herd performance management and animal welfare standards. Operate and maintain modern farm machinery and equipment. Use and engage with farm technology systems including, SmaXtec monitoring, Protrack, and MINDA records. Follow farm systems, health and safety requirements, and animal welfare protocols. Work collaboratively within a team to maintain a positive, respectful, and productive work environment. Participate in ongoing training and contribute to continuous farm improvement. About You Previous dairy farming experience suitable for a Senior Dairy Farm Assistant role. Reliable, motivated, and takes pride in producing high-quality work. A strong team player with a positive, practical attitude. Comfortable working with modern dairy technology and record-keeping systems. Willing to comply with pre-employment drug testing requirements.
