Experienced Calf Rearer for 850-Cow Dairy Farm in Rongotea/Sanson
Description
Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Calf Rearer to join our team on an 850-cow dairy farm in the Rongotea / Sanson area for the upcoming calving season in a fixed-term seasonal role. Start mid July, finishing late October / early November. Key Responsibilities: - Daily care and management of calves from birth through to weaning - Approx. 600 head calves kept - Feeding calves both in pens and on suckers in paddocks - Monitoring calf health and wellbeing to ensure optimal growth - Collaborating effectively with farm team to maintain calf rearing standards About You: - Previous calf rearing experience preferred - Good animal handling skills - Reliable and responsible with a positive attitude - Ability to work well within a team environment Competitive pay based on experience.
