Job Description: We're looking for an energetic and hands-on Farm Assistant to join our team for a fixed term from now until the end of December or early January. Based just 5 minutes west of Hinds on a large-scale dairy operation milking 1700 cows across two farms, this role is perfect for someone seeking hands-on experience over the late spring and early summer months—could suit a uni student. Flexible roster and regular time off provided. Accommodation is available on farm in a 3-bedroom house (currently unfurnished, rent charged fortnightly)—details can be discussed. Requirements: - Must be currently in NZ and eligible to work in NZ - Honest, energetic, and able to work as part of a team - Willingness to learn and follow instructions - Please note: We are not accredited with INZ - Follow health, safety, and animal welfare standards Responsibilities: - Milking in a 54-bale rotary shed with cup removers, Protrack, auto-drafting, and Allflex collars - Washing the plant and hosing/cleaning the shed and yards - Moving cows and bringing them in for milking - Riding 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler motorbikes - Setting up temporary fencing - Weed control on the farm - Tractor driving (mainly rolling) Shoot me a message on here if interested or send your CV to Kyle@wdl.kiwi
