Job Summary: This role involves managing the day-to-day milking operations and overall farm responsibilities on a dairy farm focused on high-quality milk production. The position requires overseeing milking, animal health, pasture and feed management, and maintenance tasks to ensure smooth farm operations and compliance with environmental and animal welfare standards. Key Responsibilities: - Perform milking and manage milking parlour operations efficiently and hygienically. - Monitor and maintain animal health, including calving support and calf rearing. - Manage feed systems, including pasture maintenance, grazing, and supplementary feeding. - Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment safely. - Handle farm infrastructure tasks such as fencing, irrigation, and effluent management. - Ensure compliance with environmental policies, animal welfare standards, and farm safety procedures. - Assist in planning and implementing farm improvements and stock management strategies. About You: - Experience in dairy farming with strong knowledge of milking procedures and animal husbandry. - Capable of operating farm machinery and handling maintenance tasks. - Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team. - Good organisation skills and attention to detail with a focus on animal welfare. - Willingness to learn and adapt to new farming technologies and practices.
