Job Summary: This role involves managing the daily operations of a dairy farm, focusing on maintaining herd health, ensuring efficient milking processes, and supporting breeding and calving activities. The position requires oversight of feeding systems, pasture management, and compliance with environmental and animal welfare standards to optimize farm productivity. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct regular milking and monitor herd health, including administering treatments and vaccinations. - Assist with calving, monitor new-born calves, and support breeding programs. - Manage feeding systems, including TMR preparation and pasture irrigation. - Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment safely and efficiently. - Monitor and maintain environmental compliance, including effluent management and fencing. - Maintain accurate records related to animal health, production, and farm operations. - Support farm infrastructure upkeep and contribute to team communication and training. About You: - Experience in dairy farming or similar agricultural operations. - Strong knowledge of animal husbandry, milking procedures, and farm machinery. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team with good communication skills. - Commitment to animal welfare, environmental standards, and safety. - Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to farm management.
