The Camden Group has an exciting opportunity for someone to join our highly motivated team as a Farm Assistant/Tractor Driver at Aylesbury Grazing near Burnham. We’re on the search for someone with an excellent attitude, honesty, reliability, punctuality, self-organization and has a desire to work as part of a team. We’re keen for flexibility to meet seasonal requirements and unforeseen circumstances, someone who cares about animals and the environment. Aylesbury Grazing is a 380ha dry stock property. This is a dairy support farm with 1450 R1's, 1350 R2's, and 120 R1 and R2 Jersey Bulls. Plus 200 Carryover Cows. Does this sound like you? • You can use farm equipment, machinery and vehicles competently, including two-wheel motorbikes. • You have a good understanding of animal nutrition, animal health and animal welfare issues and the things that impact on health and welfare. • You have excellent animal handling skills in the paddock and yards. • You have good general experience in the farming industry. • You can keep accurate records and reports. • You’re great at time management and you know when to prioritize tasks. • You have excellent problem-solving skills. This is a great opportunity for someone living in the area, the role is Fixed Term (starting ASAP – till 31st of May or on negotiation) to cover the busy Autum Season. We offer a competitive salary based on experience and skill level, and regular rostered time off. This is a drive in position – accommodation is not supplied. You will be reporting to the Farm Manager and Associate Manager and assisting with general farm tasks, including daily feeding.
