Fixed-Term Farm Assistant – Calving & Mating

Ashburton, Mid-Canterbury | Start Date: Mid-July 2025 | Term: 6 Months

We’re seeking a motivated Farm Assistant to join our friendly team for the upcoming calving and mating period. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on dairy experience on a well-structured, supportive farm.

About the Farm

·         800 cows milked through a 54-bale rotary shed

·         Shed equipped with automated technology (auto-drafting, cup removers, Protrack)

·         Predominantly pivot irrigated and short walks for cows

·         Supported by neighbouring blocks for wintering and young stock

About the Role

·         Milking

·         Animal health and calving support

·         Fencing

·         Calf rearing (as needed)

What We’re Looking For

·        A great attitude and willingness to learn

·       Farming or practical experience is a bonus, but not essential

·       Reliability, teamwork, and good communication

·        A Restricted or Full NZ Driver’s Licence

·        Must pass a pre-employment drug test
