Fortuna Operations Manager Lead, Develop & Deliver Excellence Are you a senior dairy professional ready to take your leadership to the next level? Fortuna Group is looking for an exceptional Operations Manager – a dynamic, motivated leader who thrives on developing people, driving performance, and delivering operational excellence across multiple farms. This is your chance to make a real impact: coaching and supporting Farm Managers and Contract Milkers, improving systems, and shaping a culture of high performance, safety, and sustainability. What You’ll Do: As a Fortuna Operations Manager, you will: - Lead, mentor, and develop Farm Managers and Contract Milkers to achieve production, financial, and animal welfare targets - Oversee and implement operational plans across multiple farms - Drive day-to-day performance in feed, grazing, reproduction, and animal health - Champion health, safety, and wellbeing across all teams - Ensure environmental compliance and continuous improvement in sustainability practices - Optimise resources, manage contractors, and drive operational efficiency - Identify opportunities for development and support strategic improvement initiatives About You: - 8–10+ years’ experience in the dairy industry, including senior operational leadership - Proven track record in coaching and developing Farm Managers and/or Contract Milkers - Tertiary qualification in agriculture/agribusiness or equivalent experience - Strong financial, operational, technology and people leadership skills - Passionate about animal welfare, sustainability, and building high-performing teams - Motivated, proactive, and ready to take ownership of results About Fortuna Group: Founded in 2012 by David and Kay Dodunski, Fortuna Group has grown into one of the lower South Island’s most progressive dairy businesses.
