600 Cow Dairy Farm 📍 Awarua, 10 minutes south of Invercargill 🗓 Start 1 June 2026 We're Lucy and Dale, young contract milkers starting our first season on a 600-cow farm. We want a 2IC who knows cows and the shed inside out. That's where you'll complement what we bring to the table. We believe in being transparent. You'll always know where things are at, how the business is running, and what we're working toward together. We want an environment that's close-knit, fun, and high-achieving. The Farm: - 226 ha effective, flat with good lanes - 600 cows - 40-aside herringbone with in-shed feeding - Tru-Test Cow Collars - Well set-up calf rearing and storage - School bus at the gate - 3-bedroom house provided The Role: You'll be across everything the farm needs, from the shed and calving to grazing decisions and sole charge. The kind of person who takes pride in how things are done, not just that they get done. About You: - Eligible to work in NZ (we are not accredited employers). - NZ dairy experience required - Comfortable stepping into sole charge - Good stockmanship and eye for detail - Full NZ driver licence preferred - Easy to work with, honest, and keen to grow What You'll Get: - Competitive pay based on experience - 3-bedroom house - Full transparency on how the business runs - Genuine flexibility.
