Job Summary: A temporary relief milker position is available to cover staff leave over the Easter holidays on a 700-cow farm operating with a 42-bail rotary shed. The role involves milking and assisting with moving cows, focusing on short-term coverage with potential for additional work beyond the specified periods. Key Responsibilities: - Perform milking duties with care and efficiency using a rotary milking shed - Assist with bringing cows in for milking, using a two-wheeler or side-by-side vehicle - Work collaboratively with the existing farm team to maintain smooth daily operations - Adapt to varying shifts between late March and mid-April, with the possibility of extended work - Use provided gear and equipment to ensure health and welfare of the herd About You: - Prior milking experience is essential due to the short nature of the relief role - Available specifically for 1-4 and 11-15 April, (work is available in the holidays outside of these dates too) - Calm and positive attitude, able to work well within a team environment - Reliable and quick to learn the farm's milking system and routines - Comfortable residing on-farm accommodation during the work period if you require this
