Tractor driver/fencer general – Mt Prospect Station About Mt Prospect Station: Mt Prospect Station, together with The Danby, is a high-performing farming operation located just 20 kilometres from Te Anau – the gateway to Fiordland National Park. Developed alongside Environment Southland and the Waiau Trust/QEII, the property balances highly productive farmland with strong biodiversity values, including regenerating and protected QEII areas. Nestled in its own natural basin along the western and southern slopes of Mt Prospect, the station enjoys a favourable micro-climate that supports strong pasture and winter feed production. Primarily set up for winter grazing and dairy support, Mt Prospect can winter approximately 5,500 MA cows annually. As part of an exciting development phase over the next 12 months, we are looking for a full-time Tractor driver/fencer general to join the team. The successful applicant will work closely with both the Farm Manager and Supervisor across a wide range of development projects, Ag work and maintenance projects. Key responsibilities include: • Tractor operation eg: ground work, rolling, mowing and bailing • Digger operation eg: farm maintenance, graveling and some drainage • Fencing development and Repairs and maintenance. • General farm maintenance • Water systems development and repairs • Supporting pasture and land development work • Assisting with day-to-day station operations as required This is a drive-in position, with a work vehicle provided as part of the role.
