Hi there! My name is Brooke, I am 19 years old and looking for a job in the industry. I am motivated, hard working and quick to learn! It doesn’t take me long to pick up a new skill and become confident in a new workplace. Last season, I gave a calf rearing job a shot and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Having never had any involvement with calf rearing/beef animals in general, it was something different but I picked everything up super quickly and easily. I was able to identify sick or injured animals, confidently and safely operate a tractor, side by side and quad bike. Unfortunately my circumstances changed and I had to relocate back to North Canterbury. I left this role as 2IC and I have an outstanding reference from this job. I am super interested in gaining more hours in a tractor, but equally would love to give milking a shot. I understand not everyone has the time to train someone, so I wouldn’t mind if you would prefer to give me a few days of milking work experience before taking me on. I am physically fit and super keen to give anything a go! I currently reside in West Eyreton and would be after a drive in position if in the North Canterbury area, but I would consider relocating within Canterbury if you’re able to provide accommodation. Full time work is preferred but I will consider part time and short term. I look forward to hearing from you! Brooke :)
