Assist with twice-daily milking and clean milking equipment, containers, and work areas after each session. Feed and monitor calves, maintain clean and dry housing, and report signs of illness, injury, low feed intake, or poor mobility. Move cattle between pasture, yards, and the milking area using established lanes, gates, and safe handling practices. Help set rotational grazing breaks, maintain electric fencing, and support routine pasture-management work. Follow farm hygiene and biosecurity procedures designed to reduce contamination and support herd health. Assist with basic farm machinery, water-supply systems, and general maintenance around the dairy operation. Apply small-scale dairy processing knowledge, including cheese making, with attention to milk hygiene and quality. Contribute to seasonal crop work, including soil preparation, irrigation, and harvesting of wheat, rice, and vegetables. Maintain written and spreadsheet records for livestock numbers, feed use, milk volumes, and basic farm expenses.
