Looking for a full-time farm assistant or junior shepherding role in South Canterbury, ideally around the Timaru area. Accommodation is required - single person's quarters is fine but no shared house please 🙂 About me: - 5 years of experience on NZ dairy farms + prior experience on Australian dairy farms. Mostly calf rearing, milking, and some general farm work (farm maintenance, stock shifts, animal health etc). can ride quads/side by sides. - full driver's license. Can drive a manual vehicle. - I have done some work as a casual shepherd this summer assisting with weaning, tailing, drenching, and shearing. - I have two working dogs: a 3 year old heading dog and a 1 year old border collie. They are a bit rusty from lack of work at the moment but are under control and can work both sheep and cattle. I'm always keen to learn more and keep expanding my skill set.
