I bring strong hands-on experience in physically demanding, outdoor and industrial environments, with a solid focus on safety, consistency, and getting the job done properly. My background includes quality control, warehouse operations, gardening, fruit picking, and machinery use — all skills that transfer well into farm work. Through roles with Talley’s Deepsea, Inghams, Foodstuffs, and APL, I have developed a strong work ethic and the ability to follow processes, operate machinery, handle heavy lifting, and maintain high standards. I’m comfortable with early starts, long days, and working in all weather conditions. Relevant skills and experience include: • General labour, cleaning, and maintenance duties • Machinery operation (forklift, jiffy, production equipment) • Heavy lifting and manual handling • Quality checking, attention to detail, and reporting issues • Gardening, plant care, and fruit picking with care to avoid damage • Working safely around equipment and following strict safety protocols • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team I also have experience in gardening and strawberry fruit picking, where I maintained plants, monitored crop quality, and ensured produce met size and quality standards — giving me a good understanding of care, consistency, and physical outdoor work.
