"Experienced Dairy Worker Seeking Herd Manager Role"
A hardworking 36yo woman passionate for animals and with 5+ years experience in all aspects of dairy farming. Dependable professional and well recognized by supervisors and co-workers for strengths as a team player, willing to fill in wherever help is needed, and as a multitasking person with a strong work ethic capable of resolve issues with expedience. All the tasks I performed includes and are not limited to: Plan and organize the daily activity on a 2000 cow farm with two cowsheds. Feed cows in winter crop (kale and fodder beet), detect and treat unhealthy or injured animals. Identify cows that have calved and assist cows with calving. Pick up calves, calf rearing management, tag bobby calves and ensure they’re fit to go on the truck. Strip new mums and test colostrum, get cows in, milk cows in different automated rotary parlour, good eye detecting mastitis, trim tails, herd testing. Provide pastures, grazing rotation, maintenance of fences, weeds control, sprinkler irrigation, pivot and k-line. Identify cows on heat, tailpaint, follow mating plan. Dry-off. Notions on how to drive a tractor. Willingness to learn new things and follow instructions. I have a valid Accredited Employer Work Visa for two more years. I am looking for a job as a Herd Manager that will allow me to complement my knowledge in the industry and be one step closer to achieve my goals.
