Hi there, My name is Nick Thompson, and I want to be upfront and honest — I don’t yet have hands-on farming experience, but I have a strong passion for farming and a genuine desire to learn the job properly from the ground up. I am particularly keen to work and learn as I see it as an opportunity to gain valuable experience, develop my skills, and build a long-term career in the industry. I am a hard worker who takes pride in showing up on time, putting in a full day’s effort, and doing things the right way. I am reliable, motivated, and not afraid of early mornings, long days, or getting my hands dirty. I understand that farming isn’t easy work, and that’s something that genuinely appeals to me rather than puts me off. I am a team player who listens, follows instructions, and is willing to learn from those with more experience. I take feedback seriously and see it as an opportunity to improve. While I may be starting without experience, I bring a strong work ethic, ambition, and a real commitment to learning and growing in the role. Farming is something I am genuinely passionate about, and I would be extremely grateful for the opportunity to learn and prove myself in a farming environment. If given the chance, I can promise that I will give the role my all, show respect for the farm, stock, and equipment, and work hard every day to become a valuable member of the team.
