To provide day to day supervision of shifts in the absence of a management team member.

At Mitre 10 Mega Papanui I worked on the checkouts, helping customers get in and out with exactly what they need as quickly as I can. As well as operating the checkouts I also directed customers where to go, and on closing shifts I did lots of cleaning, restocking, returning goods, banking, cashing up and many more additional tasks. This has given me excellent people skills, having to deal with a variety of customers every shift and has given me a great ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently.

I teach children and adults from the age of 7+ to ride and care for horses over a weekend, or for a week in the school holidays. I take them for arena lessons, treks around the farm, as well as jumping and cross-country lessons. The students stay at Kowhai and I cook and organise them with anything they require while they are staying there. These groups have around 8-12 students at a time and I have them for the whole time, be it weekend or week. I also work with horses in other areas like breaking them in from a young age, feeding them, breeding them, and managing and caring for them in-between teaching lessons. I am constantly working with others in my field of work so have good people skills and the ability to collaborate well with others. I also ride and compete horses competitively in my spare time when I'm not working.
