About Victoria Talbot

I am currently a second-year university student at Lincoln University studying towards a Bachelor of Agriculture. I have been brought up on a mixed-arable farm in Mid Canterbury allowing me to gain an interest in the agriculture sector. Growing up I was involved with sheep work, driving tractors with implements (cambridge and heavy rollers, cultivators, grain cartage trailers and tedders), roughing and general farm jobs. My first summer out of high school I worked for a local contractor carting bales, raking and tedding. In the summer of 2024/25, I did my university work experience on a dairy farm, milking cows, feeding calves, and doing other general farm work. I am currently looking for a job for the summer of 2025/26 on a sheep or beef farm in Canterbury. I am keen to learn about this industry to further my knowledge of agriculture and further my practical skills with working with different animals and systems.
