Ag Assist Supports Rural Safety with High-Visibility Vests for Local Schools

Backing rural schools and promoting safety for the next generation of New Zealand’s farming community

BEHIND THE SCENES

February 12, 2024

At Ag Assist, we’re proud to back the farming sector not just by helping businesses connect with the right people and services, but also by supporting safety initiatives that make a real difference in rural communities. Recently, we partnered with Our Lady of the Snows School in Methven, providing high-visibility vests to help keep kids safe on their journeys to and from school.

Backing Our Rural Communities

Ag Assist is a platform developed by farmers, for the wider farming community. Whether you're looking to find casual workers, independent contractors, or agricultural service providers, we’ve built a place where rural businesses can connect easily and quickly. But beyond the tech, we know that the well-being of our rural communities is just as important.

“Our platform isn’t just about making connections,” says the team at Ag Assist. “We’re part of the farming community ourselves, and safety will always be front of mind — both on farms and on the roads.”

Helping to Build a Culture of Safety

Rural schools are at the heart of our communities, shaping the next generation of farmers, contractors, and rural professionals. By sponsoring these high-vis vests, we hope to do our bit in promoting safety awareness from a young age.

“Safety is a priority in rural life,” the Ag Assist team explains. “Whether it’s around machinery, livestock, or rural roads — we want young people to build good habits early.” These vests are a small but visible reminder of Ag Assist’s commitment to supporting New Zealand’s rural communities and the future of the agricultural sector.
