Dairy professional with NZ farm experience since 2019 across Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Golden Bay, West Coast and Canterbury, progressing from Farm Assistant to Herd Manager. Experience: 6 farms in 5 regions, on rotary and herringbone sheds with herds of 400 to 1,100 cows. Leadership: I work closely with the farm owner to plan the day, allocate tasks and supervise staff, and I’ve led teams of 2 to 3. Feed and tractor: Confident on the tractor for feeding, silage and pasture work. I do farm walks with the plate meter to work out pasture cover, feed demand and rotation length. Technology: Allflex collars, ACRs, MINDA, Pasture IO, and pivot and lateral irrigation. Animal health and milk: Calving, mating (AI, heat detection, CIDRs), lameness, milk quality and SCC management. Education: Level 7 Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and NZQA Level 3 Feed Supply and Demand, which helps me analyse farm data and support good decisions. Looking for: a Herd Manager or 2IC role in Canterbury where I can support the owner or manager, lead the team, and contribute to strong animal welfare and farm performance.
